James Crowe graduated from Brock University with a Bachelor of Physical Education and a Bachelor of Education. Competing for the Badgers from 1994 to 1996 and 1997 to 1999, he was part of one of the most successful eras in program history.
During his four seasons, the Badgers captured four provincial titles and three national championships. Crowe medalled at every championship he entered, highlighted by two OUAA/OUA gold medals and two CIAU
gold medals. He was named Outstanding Male Wrestler at the 1998 OUA Championships and became the first Brock men’s wrestler to be named CIAU Male Wrestler of the Year twice.
In 1999, he received the Brock Surgite Award in recognition of his outstanding academic and athletic achievements.
Crowe became a Canadian senior national champion and World Team member in 1998, before adding a Canada Cup title in 1999 and three senior national silver medals from 2001 to 2003. He also captured titles at the
New York Athletic Club International and the British Open in 2000.
Since 2005, Crowe has remained deeply involved in the sport, coaching at the high school level and is currently
based at Craig Kielburger Secondary School in Milton, Ont.
